The Foxwood Series
The Foxwood Series explores the setting up of a fictional co-living community in mid-Wales and the lives of those who live 'together but separately'. Begun in 2014 with Living Space, there are three published books, with a fourth 'under construction'.
Maggie strives to realise her vision of a shared community of friends living out their years in companionship and harmony on the Welsh Borders. But as the saying goes, life happens when you’re busy making other plans and she hasn’t reckoned on the dark secrets, the rivalries, the exes and the wayward offspring that her housemates have accumulated over the decades. A funny and thoughtful story about age, loneliness and love which shows that growing old isn’t always the same as growing up.
"Loved this book - couldn't put it down!"
"A delightful warm hearted story."
Foxwood, Another Year
It’s a year since the Foxwood house was set up and the ‘community’ has grown. It’s still home to Maggie, Julia, Ann, Jeff, Josh, Viv and Lewis, but there are also new residents, leading to shifts in allegiance and fallings out, as well as more cosy and intimate times. Add to the mix online dating, a Murder Mystery and the joys of bread making and this second book in the Foxwood trilogy proves that living together but separately can not only be a shelter from the storm but can keep its residents forever young.
"Cannot wait for the next one to come along - Fantastic read!"
"A delightful book, The Foxwood community pulls you in to its story, relax and enjoy."
Getting by with a little help from your friends has been very important to the residents of Foxwood during the three years of its existence as an ‘intentional community’ on the Welsh border. But when glamorous Tricia Anstey moves in, the dynamic of the community changes. Old friendships are threatened and the harmony of the house is shattered by the secrets of her colourful past. And in the wider community, can Foxwood continue to live in harmony with its neighbours in the face of a changing world? The third part of the Foxwood trilogy continues the story of the lives of those who began living the dream and those who continue to let it evolve.
